SIERRA MONTAÑA homes offer more standard features than Yuma may have seen in the past. Kammann Development is the first builder in Yuma to offer Suncoast Post Tension concrete foundation slabs in a new development. Post-tensioning compresses the concrete which counteracts the tension built up between the curing concrete and the ground. On clay soil the concrete can shrink as it dries and expand as it gain moisture. These changes can produce bending and cracking of the concrete, so there is a high likelihood that the concrete will crack. Post-tension virtually eliminates the likelihood that the foundation slab will crack.
Another standard feature is a built-in pest control system by Tacit Services. The system consists of customized tubing with laser drilled holes laced through the exterior walls. The system centralizes at a service box mounted on the outside of the home where pest control can be injected into the tubing. This provides for low odor, low chemical impact pest control on family and pets, and the homeowner need not be present for service.
Kammann also includes energy saving products such as Low E Alside windows and 13 SEER Trane air conditioners. SIERRA MONTAÑA standard features also include granite slab kitchen countertops, 10' high ceilings in most rooms, and some plans feature a tandem 3-car garage.
